The Minnesota Wild and the Xcel Energy Center have provided a limited number of tickets available for military connected women to the BELONG Tour being held at the Excel Energy Center on Friday, October 21st from 7:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, October 22nd from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

What is the BELONG Tour? BELONG is a Friday night – Saturday live event bringing women together in arenas across the country. Thousands of women will gather to hear remarkable communicators Jen Hatmaker, Shauna Niequist, Nichole Nordeman, Sharon Irving, Angela Davis, Patsy Clairmont hone in on how to live a fun, faith-filled, purposeful life. There will be plenty of personal stories, music, laughter and maybe even some tears in this open space where women can connect to one another, to see and know each other, and carry each other’s burdens.

I have the tickets in my St Paul Office or can mail them as well. Let me know if you have any military connected women who may be interested in this inspiring event.

PBYR participates in Plymouth on Parade 2016

On September 24, 2016 PBYR participated in Plymouth on Parade with walkers and a booth for the 5th consecutive year!

We did some outreach and it remains clear that many people still do not know about PBYR or the MN BYR network of 219+ cities.

The PBYR goal for such events is to request that people visit our website (PBYR.org) and note the list of resources available for service members, veterans and their families. Also, to welcome them to reach out to PBYR via the website if they have a special need or request for the PBYR Board to consider.

Minnesota WILD Pre Season ticket offer

What: Minnesota Pre Season Take a Service Member or Veteran to a game event

Where: Tickets will be available at will call on 2 October game day

How: Call the Rosemount FAC at 651-282-4748, please have child’s name, age and number of tickets needed. Requests must be received by close of business on 16 September

The hope is that children who might not otherwise be able to go to a game will get the chance. They will also have several other things going on that night like meeting Nordy, face painting, 1st game certificates and other things.

The Medal of Honor Convention at US Bank Stadium

This event serves as an opportunity for Minnesota to show the Medal of Honor recipients our level of enthusiasm and honor by filling over 1,000 seats of the US Bank Stadium; we invite the public to show their support during this opening once in a lifetime event as we give a Minnesota Nice welcome to our nation’s greatest heroes.

PBYR Participated in the MN State Fair!

Yellow Ribbon State Fair Volunteers,

I want to thank you for making the 2016 Military Appreciation Day at the State Fair a success! Beyond the Yellow Ribbon really got the word out and together we made some great connections with those who are soon to be involved with their local networks. I enjoyed meeting/reconnecting with you and appreciate your support at the BTYR Booth. The parade really came together and “set the stage” for the Ceremony.
