Other best practices include sending thank you notes of appreciation through the school district to give to military youth, inviting a service member to the local library to read a book to kids, visiting military youth in the schools to give them thank you bags full of goodies, highlight some military youth in local newsletter or paper, hosting a military youth appreciation party, asking city leaders, the business community and teachers to wear purple on Fridays throughout the month, many ways to say thank you to your communities children during the month.
