The Hamel American Legion and the Hamel VFW is sponsoring a Veterans Day Breakfast on Saturday, November 11th. Food 7:30-8:45 with Program 9:00-10:00 am (see PDF flyer below).
This year we are serving a special breakfast of “Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast” (SOS) along with our regular breakfast (numerous veterans have requested SOS over the years). We have a great Guest Speaker lined up, good food and plenty of service banter. Most importantly we get a chance to thank our veterans for their service and to welcome them home!
This event is open to the public. Take a moment and invite your veteran family members and friends. This is also an excellent learning moment for scouts, church and school groups. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll ask the guy down the block, the one who always wears his military ball cap, if you can buy him breakfast that morning. That would be nice!! SF
