Speaker Ann Masten, Ph.D., Regents Professor of Child Development at the University of Minnesota, author of Ordinary Magic: Nurturing Resilience in Children Topic What is resilience and what have we learned from research on young people who overcome disadvantage or adversity to succeed in life? Professor Masten will highlight the origins and findings from studies of resilience, hers and others, with a focus on opportunities for families, schools and communities to foster positive development and resilience in children and society. |
