Jim Heimerl is the Commander of the Hamel VFW. He’s a “life time” member of the VFW, American  Legion and Purple Heart. Jim was a Marine grunt in Vietnam  66-67. He’s a disabled veteran with 3 Purple Hearts. He’s also a member of The Ft. Snelling Memorial Rifle Squad. Jim spends most of his time helping veterans in need. He feels that the way returning Vietnam Veterans were treated is a disgrace and wants to insure that never happens again!
