Veterans breakfast set for Friday, Nov. 8 in Plymouth

Residents are invited to a breakfast honoring veterans and their service to this country. The Veterans Event is set for 9:30-11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at the Plymouth Creek Center, 14800 34th Ave. N. Veterans are admitted at no charge and treated to a complimentary breakfast. Cost is $9 for all nonveterans. Registration is required. Attendees may register in person at the Plymouth Creek Center or by calling 763-509-5280.

A representative from the nonprofit organization Honor Flight Twin Cities will offer information on a program that provides free flights to Washington, D.C., for veterans of World War II and the Korean War.

Twins Cities Honor Flight – September 29

I am sending you the date for the next honor flight. Honor flights help World War II Veterans and now Korean War Veterans have a day in Washington D.C. at no cost. Help welcome them home when they arrive back in MN. Gather a group, make some welcome homes signs, wear your company or Yellow Ribbon shirts and show your support!

WHEN: Saturday, September 29, 2018. Arrive at Terminal 2 Baggage Area by 10PM. Flight typically arrives about 10:20-10:30PM. Meet in Baggage Area. No need to RSVP, just show up! Bring signs and lots of cheers!

WHERE: Terminal 2 (previously called the Humphrey Terminal) Minneapolis Airport, 7150 Humphrey Drive, Minneapolis, 55450

Note: There are currently over 300 Korean War Veterans on the waiting list so help pass the word to encourage Korean War veterans to submit a request for a flight. More information can be found at: https://www.honorflighttwincities.org/.

As you make plans for 2018, I wanted to send you the date for the next Twin Cities Honor Flight. Honor flights help World War II Veterans and now Korean War Veterans have a day in Washington D.C. at no cost. Help welcome them home when they arrive back in MN. Come out and show your support!

WHEN: Saturday, April 7, 2018. Arrive at Terminal 2 Baggage Area by 10PM. Flight typically arrives about 10:20-10:30PM.

WHERE: Terminal 2 (previously called the Humphrey Terminal) Minneapolis Airport, 7150 Humphrey Drive, Minneapolis, 55450
Meet in Baggage Area, No need to RSVP, just show up! Bring signs and lots of cheers!

We will soon have another Twin Cities Honor Flight. Honor flights help World War II Veterans and now Korean War Veterans have a day in Washington D.C. at no cost. Help welcome them home when they arrive back in MN. This fall  flight is expected to have 42 World War II Veterans and over 30 Korean War Veterans, come out and show your support!

I just received the confirmed date for the next Twin Cities Honor Flight. Honor flights help World War II Veterans and now Korean War Veterans have a day in Washington D.C. at no cost. Help welcome them home when they arrive back in MN. If you know of any World War II Veterans that have not been on a flight, please encourage them to apply at: http://honorflighttwincities.org/. We are trying to find them all!

A waiting list is starting for Korean War Veterans as well.
